CARDEA
CARDEA governs access to Microsoft 365 in a large legal organization. For each matter it opens a working folder in SharePoint, with a stable name and a closed list of people: only those the case file said should be there get in. It is not a document manager. It does not store files, does not assemble teams and does not know what is inside the matter. Its job is different: take who should be there, apply it when the time comes, and return the link only when the folder actually exists. While the matter is live, those people work in the folder —they upload and edit— but they cannot invite anyone or change the lock. When the matter is archived, the same people drop to read-only. Removing someone means leaving them off the list, or closing their access across every folder CARDEA opened for that product. If CARDEA fails, the matter still stands. The same mechanism serves other products that need a folder per matter. The name is the Roman goddess of hinges: she watched over opening and closing.
